We pick you up from your front door and transport you down to your chosen hotel. On arrival you will be greeted by a member of the management whilst your luggage is being taken to your room.
Castle Hill is your first excursion with us. After being greeted by Lord or Lady Arran and after refreshments in the heated west wing you will be given a talk on the history of the house and gardens. There will also be time to browse the gardens or sit outside and enjoy the magnificent views. A buffet lunch is served before your journey back to the hotel.
A free day for you to relax in the hotel or take a leisurely stroll along the river Taw into the town centre. Today it is holding its local pannier market or why not visit a local museum and see what new displays they have this year.
Be taken on a guided tour of this fascinating home. Built in the 12th century, this former monastery is now a family home containing a fascinating collection of pictures, furniture and porcelain which have been accumulated over many generations. After your tour, visit the cafe where you can purchase homemade food before browsing the gardens or taking a stroll to the private beach.
One of the top R.H.S gardens in the country spanning 65 acres and set in the Torridge Valley. Explore a wide variety of spectacular gardens from the formal Rose gardens to the vegetable gardens which supply much of the produce for the award-winning restaurant on site. Lady Anne’s original garden, the arboretum and the cottage garden have all been restored as well.
